In December 2025, the Indian two-wheeler market recorded total bike sales of 13,14,414 units, with Honda leading the charts, followed by Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor Company in second and third positions respectively. On a year-on-year basis, the industry registered growth, with December 2024 sales standing at 12,00,472 units, indicating improved demand compared to the same period last year. However, on a month-on-month basis, sales declined compared to November 2025 sales standing at 25,52,790 units, as November benefited from festive season demand, which typically boosts overall dispatches and retail numbers.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India — 3,56,199 units

Honda topped the December 2025 sales chart, reporting total sales of 3,56,199 units. With Activa scooter lineup leading the charge as usual and commuter bikes like the Unicorn and Shine bikes supporting the sales. 

Hero MotoCorp — 2,91,747 units

Hero MotoCorp secured the second spot in December 2025 bike sales chart, reporting total sales of 2,91,747 units. The brand’s strong performance was largely driven by its popular commuter motorcycles, led by the ever-reliable Splendor, which continues to be a top choice among value-conscious buyers. In addition, family-oriented scooters like the Destini also contributed significantly, appealing to urban and semi-urban customers looking for comfort, practicality, and everyday usability.

TVS Motor company — 2,73,847 units

TVS secured third spot in December 2025 bike sales chart, reporting total sales of 2,73,847 units. The brand’s strong performance-oriented motorcycle lineup and a well-rounded range of feature-rich scooters. Models like the Apache series and popular scooters like Jupiter and Ntorq played a key role in attracting both enthusiasts and family buyers alike.

Bajaj Auto — 1,73,214 units 

Bajaj secured fourth spot in December 2025 sales chart, reporting total sales of 1,73,214 units. backed by its strong mix of reliable commuter motorcycles and sporty offerings. Models like the Platina and Pulsar range continued to drive volumes, appealing to both daily commuters and performance-focused riders.

Royal Enfield — 82,050 units

Royal Enfield secured fifth spot in December 2025 sales chart, reporting total sales of 82,050 units, with its volumes largely driven by strong demand for the Hunter 350 and the ever-popular Classic 350, both of which continue to attract a wide range of buyers. At the same time, the brand’s 650cc lineup, led by the Continental GT 650, helped keep customer interest high across dealerships, reinforcing Royal Enfield’s appeal among enthusiasts and premium motorcycle buyers.

Suzuki Motorcycles India — 80,059 units

Suzuki Motorcycles secured sixth spot in December 2025 sales chart, reporting total sales of 80,059 units. Backed by its strong scooter lineup. Models like Access 125, Burgman and Avenis continued to contribute the majority of sales. 

Others

Other players such as Yamaha, KTM, Ather, Ola Electric, and Simple Energy also reported respectable sales figures in December 2025, with steady demand across both ICE and electric two-wheeler segments. However, overall volumes for these brands saw a decline compared to October and November 2025, as the earlier months benefited from strong festive season demand, which traditionally drives higher sales and showroom footfalls across the industry.

Overall, the two-wheeler industry in December 2025 witnessed a month-on-month decline in sales compared to October and November 2025, as those months were boosted by festive season demand. However, on a year-on-year basis, the industry registered a healthy increase in sales when compared to December 2024, indicating steady long-term growth. In terms of brand performance, Honda continued to lead the ICE motorcycle sales, while Ather Energy topped the EV two-wheeler sales charts, highlighting the growing acceptance of electric mobility alongside conventional bikes.
