Italian automaker Ducati has launched a special edition of the Multistrada V4, the V4 Pikes Peak. It is the sportier variant of the Multi which gets Moto-GP-inspired livery, revised chassis for better on-road dynamics, and is also E20-compliant. Here is everything you need to know about it.
Engine and Performance
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equipped with a 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine that produces 168bhp at 10,500 rpm and 125Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. The engine also features an advanced rear-cylinder deactivation system to reduce emissions and enhance efficiency. This engine is also compliant with E20 and Euro-5 norms. What’s bespoke to the Pikes Peak though, is the added ‘Race’ mode which sharpens throttle response and dials down intervention from the traction and wheelie control aids. The mill breathes via a full-length Akrapovic exhaust which comes standard.
Features
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT screen, Ducati Connect, and a full-map navigation system. Other safety features include 5 riding modes, Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, a front and rear radar system that offers adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and forward collision warning.
Chassis and Suspension
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak rides on an Aluminium monocoque frame with a single-sided swingarm. It features the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 adaptive suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes with twin 330mm discs squeezed by 4-pot calipers up front and a 280mm disc at the rear with a 2-pot caliper. The most notable change though is the smaller front wheel. The Pikes Peak gets 17-inch wheels at both ends shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. This is to aid flickability and make the bike more dynamic in the twisties. It also gets revised chassis geometry and ergos – sharper steering rake, rear set-footpegs, the works) to make possible sportier riding. The bike weighs 227kg, has 220mm of ground clearance, and a 22-litre fuel tank.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is priced at ₹36,16,700 (ex-showroom), it is priced ₹5.5 lakh more than the normal V4. Deliveries have commenced at Ducati dealerships across the country.
