KTM has launched the highly anticipated RC 160 in India and it has been priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it the most affordable bike in KTM’s supersport lineup. It shares the underpinnings with its naked sibling, the Duke 160 which was launched in 2025, and here's everything you need to know about it.
Design and Features
The RC 160 carries forward the brand’s RC design language, closely mirroring its elder siblings, the RC 200 and RC 390. It features a sharp and aggressive fully-faired silhouette with a low-slung nose, angular LED headlamp, and aerodynamic fairings that give it a proper track-focused appearance. The raked windscreen, sculpted fuel tank, and split-style tail section further enhance its sporty stance, making it look every bit like a full-fledged supersport motorcycle despite its smaller displacement. It has an LCD display with turn-by-turn navigation, and all LED lighting all around. Overall, the RC 160 stays true to KTM’s racing DNA while offering the same visual appeal as the larger RC models. It's available in xx colours.
Chassis, Suspension and Brakes
The KTM RC 160 features a split-trellis frame. Suspension duties on this bike are handled by 37mm upside down front forks and a monoshock suspension at the rear, that's adjustable for preload. It gets a 320mm disc at the front and 230mm disc at the rear, aided by dual-channel ABS with a supermoto mode. It gets similar alloys and tyres as the Duke 160 which measure 110/70 R17 at the front and 140/60 R17 at the rear.
Engine and Gearbox
The KTM RC 160 shares its engine and gearbox with its naked sibling, the Duke 160. It is powered by a 164.3cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 18.7bhp at 9500rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. KTM claims that the RC 160 has a top speed of 118kmph.
Pricing and Rivals
The KTM RC 160 is priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) which is ₹15000 more than its naked sibling, the Duke 160. The KTM RC 160 will rival the likes of the Yamaha R15 which is priced at ₹1.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
