Ultraviolette X47 adventure crossover electric bike breaks cover

Ultraviolette has taken the wraps off its second electric motorcycle, the X47 crossover: it's an electric adventure tourer which claims to offer the best of both world, and as expected from an Ultraviolette product has a lot of tech. It's priced at an introductory ₹2.49 lakh, ex-showroom, for the 7.1kWh battery variant and while the brand hasn't given away the cost of the bigger 10.2kWh battery variant, expect it to cost about a lak more, just like the Ultraviolette F77.

The X47 shares the electric motor with the F77. The unit delivers 40.2bhp of power and a massive 610Nm of torque at the wheel, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 145 kmph. Range is rated at 211km (IDC-claimed) for the smaller battery and up to 323km for the larger one. Designed as an off-road-capable version of the F77, the X47 gets a strengthened chassis, more suspension travel, larger wheels, and upright ergonomics for better comfort and control. It also drops the fairing for a naked look, suiting its adventure-ready purpose.

What truly sets the X47 apart is its technology. It gets Ultraviolette's 'Hypersense' tech, a first-of-its-kind blind spot warning system on a motorcycle, using a 77GHz rear radar to detect vehicles in adjacent lanes and alert the rider. Hypersense also supports lane change assist and rear collision warnings, adapting intelligently to the bike's lean, pitch, and roll. Additional tech includes dual 1080p Sony cameras (front and rear) connected to dual onboard displays, enhancing visibility and safety. The bike also features Ultraviolette’s Violette AI tech which processes over 3000 data points every second, providing real-time updates to the connected mobile app — including alerts if your bike is being moved or towed. Charging is handled by an onboard 1.6kW air-cooled charger, claimed to be the world’s most power-dense in its category, though the cable must be carried separately.

The X47 also offers plenty of rider-focused customization with four levels of traction control, including a fully-off mode, and five levels of regenerative braking, letting you tailor performance to your preferences. Another standout is the 8,00,000 km warranty on the battery. With a strong focus on adventure, safety, and smart connectivity, the X47 is poised to compete not just with electric bikes, but with similarly powered petrol motorcycles as well. And that is why it is priced so competitvely. Ultraviolette has also introduced a limited edition Desert King variant  of the X47 which gets bespoke Khaki paint and more kit from the optional accessories catalogue. Speaking of whcih, the bike has a boatload of optional extras available inclduing: knuckle guards, a touring visor, panniers both soft and hard case, auxiliary lights, body protection guards, and even an infotainment screen.

Deliveries for the X47 begin in October 2025, and pre-bookings are now open for those eager to be the early adopters of the Ultraviolette X47.
