Citroen India has introduced new range-topping C3 X Shine trims, replacing the previous Shine variants, while also trimming prices across the rest of the line-up. Bookings are now open and deliveries are set to begin in the first week of September 2025.
The updated C3 range starts at ₹5.25 lakh and goes up to ₹10.15 lakh. The new C3 X Shine sits between ₹7.91 lakh and ₹9.90 lakh, depending on the engine and gearbox choice. Adding the optional 360-degree camera for ₹25,000 pushes the top Turbo-AT version to ₹10.15 lakh.
Engines and Performance
Two engine options are on offer. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol produces 82 bhp and 115 Nm, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol delivers 110 bhp and 190 Nm. Gearbox choices include a manual and an automatic for the turbo-petrol.
Exterior and Colours
On the outside, the only difference is the C3 X badge. There is also a new Garnet Red paint option, available in both monotone and dual-tone forms. Dual-tone finishes are standard on Turbo variants and cost ₹15,000 extra on the NA engine Shine variant.
Interior and Features
The C3 X Shine trims add a leatherette dashboard finish, keyless entry, push-button start, and an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror. Lower Live and Feel trims make do with grey plastic finishes. A 360-degree camera remains optional, and cruise control is exclusive to the Turbo-AT.
Verdict
With the C3 X Shine, Citroen has packed in a few premium touches without changing the car’s core mechanicals. For buyers wanting the best-equipped C3 without straying into SUV territory, this is the one to look at.
