Volkswagen Virtus Facelift Unveiled

Volkswagen has taken the wraps off the facelifted Virtus and it has been a long time coming! The Virtus was launched in India in 2022, replacing the Vento and it since then has built a sort of cult following. A facelift has been imminent for a long time now and finally it’s here.

At first glance it might seem like not much has changed on the exterior, with very slight changes made to the front bumper, the headlight unit and design are identical, the fog lamps are now LED projector units. The bumper now also houses a front camera and sensors which indicate that it will get a 360 degree parking camera.

It’s the same story at the back, with no real differences, the taillights are identical, you still get the lip spoiler on the trunk and the blacked out diffuser with the GT variant. The only differentiating factor are the new rims, a new design on them, but they hold very close resemblance to what we’ve seen on the Taigun.

What has majorly changed with the new Virtus is the introduction of the 8-speed torque converter transmission paired with the 1L engine. And it will retain the 1.5L four cylinder TSI engine with the DSG gearbox.

Interior is yet to be revealed, it might get a similar layout as the Taigun, with a larger infotainment screen and the new digital instrument cluster as well.

Prices will be announced shortly with the official launch of the car.
