Skoda Auto India has launched the updated Kushaq, priced from Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The update focuses on adding more features across variants, improving value and introducing a new automatic gearbox option.
The Kushaq gets updated front and rear styling, along with new colour options including Shimla Green, Steel Grey and Cherry Red. There are also subtle tweaks like new alloy wheel designs, sequential turn indicators and refreshed detailing that give it a slightly sharper look without changing the overall silhouette.
The biggest change is how much is now standard. Even the base Classic+ variant gets LED headlamps and tail lamps, a sunroof, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment, and alloy wheels. Move up the range and you get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch digital cockpit and ambient lighting. At the top end, the Kushaq now offers a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a digital cockpit and a subwoofer-equipped sound system. There is also a rear seat massage function, which is a rare feature at this price point.
Safety remains a strong point. The Kushaq retains its 5-star safety credentials and now adds more standard equipment. Features like rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and defogger and an auto-dimming IRVM are now offered across variants, along with six airbags and a long list of active and passive safety systems.
Under the hood, the 1.0-litre TSI engine now gets a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic, replacing the earlier unit and available on lower variants. It produces around 114bhp and 178Nm. The 1.5-litre TSI continues with 148bhp and 250Nm, paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and now also gets disc brakes on all four wheels in higher trims.
The Kushaq is now offered in five trims: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Each step up adds more technology, comfort or sportier styling elements, with the Monte Carlo focusing on visual upgrades and a more distinctive cabin theme.
Prices start at Rs 10.69 lakh and go up to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning the Kushaq competitively in the midsize SUV segment. More features in lower variants, a new automatic gearbox and added comfort tech make it feel more complete and easier to recommend.
