Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition launched at Rs 7.09 lakh

Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition, priced from Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom). This new edition is based on the Sportz trims and brings cosmetic updates, added features and a segment-first dashcam.

The Vibe Edition is available in both manual and AMT options, and commands a premium of Rs 10,000 to Rs 26,000 over the standard variants.

The updates are mostly visual and feature-focused. On the outside, the Vibe Edition gets blacked-out alloy wheels, while inside, there is a black cabin theme with red inserts and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It is a subtle change, but one that adds a bit more character to an otherwise familiar cabin.

The highlight, however, is the addition of a dashcam. Hyundai claims this is a first for the segment. The system supports multiple recording modes,s including driving, emergency and event recording, along with on-demand video access and photo capture via a mobile app. It is a small feature, but one that adds everyday practicality rather than just ticking a box.

Other features are carried over from the Sportz trims. These include an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and six airbags. The Sportz (O) Vibe variant also gets a smart key with push-button start, previously limited to higher trims.

Under the hood, there are no changes. The 1.2-litre petrol engine continues to produce around 82bhp and 114Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

Hyundai has also updated the Asta variant by adding the same dashboard and introducing a new Titan Grey Matte colour option, which stands out as a rare finish in this segment.

This is a familiar approach. Add a few features, tweak the styling and keep the mechanics unchanged. It does not transform the car, but it does make the mid variants more appealing, which is where most buyers tend to be.
