Jeep has introduced a limited-run Meridian Track Edition in India, priced at Rs 35.95 lakh for the automatic and Rs 37.82 lakh for the 4x4 version. It is based on the Meridian Overland and features cosmetic updates and a more practical second row.
What’s new on the outside
The Track Edition gets Piano Black detailing across the grille, badges and exterior mouldings. There is a darker grille finish with neutral grey highlights, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a signature hood decal. Track Edition badges complete the look.
The meaningful update inside
The headline change is a 140mm sliding second row. That improves third row access and adds flexibility depending on how you want to divide passenger and luggage space. It is a small number on paper, but it makes a noticeable difference in usability according to Jeep.
The cabin gets a dual-tone Tupelo interior with suede inserts, contrast stitching and quilting. Dark Espresso accents and Piano Black trims are used across the dashboard. The steering wheel is wrapped in Cortina leather, and Track Edition detailing appears on the seats and floor mats.
Features stay comprehensive
The Meridian Track Edition retains the 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an Alpine audio system, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and 12-way, power-adjustable, ventilated front seats with memory. It also continues with Level 2 ADAS functions.
Engine and drivetrain
Power comes from the familiar 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine producing 168bhp and 350Nm. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and is available in 2WD and 4WD configurations. Jeep’s Selec Terrain system remains part of the package on the Four Wheel Drive version. No changes mechanically.
