Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster unveiled

What’s better than a naturally aspirated V12 Lamborghini? A V12 Lamborghini without the roof! Say hello to the Fenomeno Roadster, a 1065bhp open top monster from Lamborghini’s “Few-Off” collection, limited to just 15 units!

Design and aerodynamics

The design of the Fenomeno Roadster is based on the Fenomeno Coupe, with Y-shaped elements all over, along with hexagonal air intakes and even a hexagonal engine housing. Lamborghini has debuted a new “Mura” colour scheme with blue and red elements bespoke to the Fenomeno Roadster, which gives it a separate identity compared to the Fenomeno Coupe. Other aerodynamic changes include a new windscreen spoiler, a revised longtail design and carbonfibre rollover protection structures for additional rigidity and passenger safety.

Powertrain

The Fenomeno Roadster is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine with hybrid tech, producing a total system output of 1065bhp. It is mated to an eight-speed gearbox and three electric motors – two on the front axle and one integrated into the gearbox – along with a 7kWh lithium ion battery enabling electric only driving.

0 to 100kmph comes up in just 2.4 seconds, 0 to 200kmph in 6.8 seconds and it has a top speed of over 340kmph. It also gets 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch alloys at the rear with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres and CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic disc brakes.

Interiors

On the inside, it gets a similar driver focused, fighter jet styled interior layout as its coupe counterpart, with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.4-inch central infotainment screen and even a 9.1-inch passenger display. It gets carbonfibre elements on the inside along with an Alcantara finish on the dashboard and doors.

It gets sport bucket seats as standard with red contrasting stitching on them, along with the steering wheel. Lamborghini claims the seats are designed to provide exceptional support during extreme cornering.

Lamborghini “Few-Off” collection

The Lamborghini Few-Off collection consists of Lamborghini’s ultra exclusive models which are built exclusively for some ultra wealthy buyers. The Fenomeno Roadster will be joining cars like the Countach LPI 800-4, the Sian Roadster, the Sesto Elemento, the Centenario, the Veneno Roadster and the Reventon.

This club is one of the most exclusive supercar circles in the world, with only a select few getting the opportunity to be a part of it.

Prices and competitors

The prices for this ultra exclusive model have not been revealed yet, but it should demand a hefty premium for those who can afford it. However, if you somehow want to get yourself one, you are out of luck because all 15 specimens have already been allotted to their ultra wealthy owners.

Its main competitors are the Ferrari Daytona SP3, the Bugatti Mistral and the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC, all of them being among the most extreme convertibles money, or the abundance of it, can buy.
