Lexus NX Levels Up in India

The  Lexus NX has always sat comfortably in that sweet spot of being just the right size for Indian cities, while still offering the luxuries you expect from the Japanese brand. For 2025, Lexus has introduced a series of subtle but meaningful updates to keep the SUV relevant in a competitive space.

First on the list is safety. The NX now gets a more advanced version of Lexus Safety System+. This includes better driver assistance features and smarter intervention during emergencies, making it a safer companion on crowded highways or tricky city runs.

Inside, Lexus has focused on refinement. Cabin insulation has been improved, reducing road and wind noise at higher speeds. The air conditioning system now monitors cabin quality and filters particulates more efficiently, a welcome addition for anyone who has braved Indian traffic. Lexus has also introduced new interior colours and trim options, giving buyers a chance to personalise their car with a touch more flair.

Efficiency has been sharpened, too. The hybrid system has been reworked to be E20 fuel compliant, something India is slowly moving towards. It now delivers up to 20.26 km per litre, which is respectable for a luxury SUV producing 240 bhp and 239 Nm of torque. This means the NX manages to balance performance with responsibility, offering enough pace for quick highway stints while keeping running costs sensible.

There are small aesthetic touches as well. New exterior colours have been added to the palette, complementing the NX’s sharp design language. Nothing radical, but enough to keep things fresh for buyers who value individuality.

Taken together, these changes do not reinvent the NX, but they do make it a more complete package for India. Safer, quieter, more efficient, and a little more stylish – exactly the kind of updates that make a good car just that bit easier to live with every day.
