Škoda has pulled the covers off the Vision O concept, its electrified estate study that blends the brand’s long-standing Combi heritage with a forward-looking, minimalist design language. The car debuts not just as another concept but as Škoda’s first “inside-out” project designed entirely from the customer’s perspective before the designers sharpened their pencils for the exterior.

Key Details
Design & Interior
The Vision O’s exterior is sharper and more robust, featuring clean surfaces, a panoramic roof, and Škoda’s new Tech-loop light signature. Aerodynamic tricks include active cooling vents, airflow channels, and flush door handles, all in the name of efficiency and more extended range.
Inside, it’s minimalism with a human touch. A 1.2-metre-wide Horizon Display spans the dashboard, flanked by a vertically oriented central screen and a rotary dial with haptic feedback. Škoda’s new Bio-Adaptive Lighting syncs with natural light cycles, while clever touches include a portable Bluetooth speaker, a built-in fridge, and charging cable storage.
Technology
Škoda’s AI assistant “Laura” now does more than change radio stations she can take notes, suggest routes, narrate bedtime stories, and sync with the Vision O app for remote functions like adjusting cabin tinting or prepping the boot. Autonomous driving is also in the mix, with Vision O capable of handling most tasks independently, except in extreme weather. The Tranquil Mode reclines seats, softens lighting, and lowers digital clutter for a lounge-like experience on the move.
Sustainability
Circular design runs through every material choice. Seat fabrics are 100% recycled polyester, Ultrasuede trim uses 65% plant-based content, and flooring is crafted from upcycled leather waste. Even the headrests are 3D-printed from recyclable TPU in a honeycomb structure for comfort and strength.
Heritage & Future
Škoda has led Europe’s estate car market since 2016, with the Octavia Combi and Superb Combi selling over 3.6 million units combined. The Vision O extends this legacy into the electric era, with production expected on a Volkswagen Group platform in the next decade.
Summary
The Škoda Vision O isn’t just a design exercise—it’s a roadmap for how the Czech brand sees estates in a world going electric. With space, sustainability, and a focus on real-world usability, it may not shout about horsepower or top speed (yet). Still, it does quietly remind us that the estate has plenty of life left in it, batteries included.
