A brand-new carmaker has entered the high-octane world of hypercars and it is already making noise. Say hello to Vittori, a fresh name from the United States that has decided to do things the proper way by letting Pininfarina design a low-slung missile and powering it with a new hybrid V12. Only 50 of these will ever exist which means exclusivity comes baked in.
The car does not have a name yet but it certainly has intent: speed, beauty and a touch of Italian excess. It will be built in Italy while development is being handled by Italtecnica, the same firm crafting engines for boutique marques like Garagisti. Under the sculpted bonnet sits a 12-cylinder engine confirmed by the image of twin banks and a dozen intake pipes paired with hybrid assistance. The company calls it a proprietary powertrain though exact figures remain under wraps. Still, expect well north of 800 bhp and a top speed beyond 350 kmph if they want to play in this league.
Aerodynamics take centre stage with an active rear wing promising high-speed stability and some proper theatre every time you brake hard. Inside, Vittori says there will be physical controls along with a small central screen. Minimalist but hopefully functional.
The hypercar will make its global debut in Miami later this month as a running concept and Vittori insists it is just the start of their journey toward a full production model. While pricing has not been revealed yet, a V12 Pininfarina-designed hybrid built in Italy will not come cheap. Expect it to cost several crore rupees when it finally hits the road.
For now it is enough to know that the world has not given up on glorious multi-cylinder engines. And if Vittori can back its design flair with genuine engineering substance this could be a brand worth watching.
A new V12 hypercar in 2025 is cause for celebration. Let us hope Vittori delivers on the promise and does not vanish after 50 units.
