Four More Individual Colors for the BMW XM

BMW has introduced 4 Individal colors for the XM. BMW's brand-new XM hybrid generated some significant debate. Some people adore its brash, in-your-face appearance, while others believe it's clumsy, heavy-handed, and downright ugly.

If you fall into the latter category, BMW's most recent statement could convince you otherwise. The carmaker has announced that starting in April 2023, customers will be able to buy the first solo M vehicle since the M1 supercar of the early 1980s with color schemes from BMW's Individual range.

The SUV is produced at BMW's North American manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, but vehicles ordered with BMW Individual paint must go through a different manufacturing procedure that requires a more hands-on approach from BMW's technicians to ensure the body surface is properly prepared before painting and that the finish lives up to the promise of the additional cost.

The $159,000 XM was debuted with a hybrid-assisted 4.4-liter V8 that produces 644 horsepower (653 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm), allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and have a WLTP electric driving range of up to 55 miles (89 km).

The $185,000+ XM Label Red, a high-performance variant with 738 horsepower (748 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm), will be available by the end of the year. It will be distinguished by its Toronto Red stylistic elements set against a Frozen Carbon Black body.
