The Era Of E-bikes | EMotorad Launches E-bikes At The EM Summit 2023

The Pune-based startup EMotorad has jumped into the electric bandwagon with a slightly different approach. The approach of transiting to healthier and more practical mobility solutions with pedal-driven e-bikes. The brand has unveiled e-bikes ranging from Rs 5,00,000 to Rs 24,999. The startup has smartly positioned its portfolio to cater to domestic and global businesses.

EMotorad has  launched two premium e-bikes- Nighthawk and Desert Eagle at Rs 5,00,000 and Rs 4,75,000, respectively. They have also launched an X-factor range of mass-market e-bikes starting at Rs 24,999 and going all the way up to Rs 32,999. 

The top-of-the-line e-bike - Nighthawk gets an aluminium frame, 150 mm travel fork and 35 mm stanchions, SRAM shifters with an X5 derailleur, Tektro 2 piston front and rear brakes and Maxxis Minion DHF Exo Protection Tubeless Ready tyres. Furthermore, Desert Eagle gets a 120 mm travel fork and possesses a Proven Motion Control damper featuring low-speed compression adjustment to lockout with external rebound adjustment, a 120 mm travel fork with motion control damper featuring low-speed compression adjustment to lockout with external rebound adjustment,  Kenda Juggernaut 30 TPI wire bead puncture resistant tyre casing. 

For mass-market, the startup has launched three X-series e-bikes. The X1 and X2, launched at Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999, get a detachable battery pack, whereas the X3, launched at Rs 32,999, comes with an integrated battery pack. X-series model features steel frames and single-speed drivetrains with the option to add derailleurs. X1 possesses mechanical disc brakes with auto cut-off and a high-tensile steel frame with 1 level of pedal assists with 12 magnets . The X2 and X3 feature three levels of pedal assist. 

The brand is not just focused on building e-bikes but also visions to bridge the gap between enthusiasts with technology. EMotorad has revealed its app-enabled tech that can track the calories burnt, distance covered, heart rate and many more. The app also connects with a community of riders which can be helpful in planning trips and other socio-activities.
