Bajaj Auto has updated the Pulsar NS200 with more power, new electronic rider aids and a revised equipment package. The latest version gets an electronic throttle body (ETB), ride modes, traction control, a quickshifter and a new 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps mirroring. The motorcycle also receives revised front suspension hardware and a radial rear tyre, while retaining its perimeter frame and 199.5cc engine.
Design
The updated Pulsar NS200 retains its muscular naked streetfighter design. Its sculpted fuel tank, sharp bodywork and forward-biased stance continue to define its appearance. Rather than introducing a completely new design, Bajaj has concentrated on upgrading the motorcycle's technology and hardware.
The motorcycle is offered in three colour options: Ebony Black Racing Red, Pearl Metallic White and Nardo Grey. These finishes give buyers a choice between a darker, sportier appearance, a contrasting white finish and a contemporary grey option.
The overall styling remains familiar, with the NS200 continuing to emphasise its aggressive proportions and sporty character.
New TFT Display and Equipment
One of the most significant changes is the introduction of a 5-inch TFT instrument console, which replaces the previous LCD display. The new screen supports Google Maps mirroring, adding navigation functionality to the motorcycle's equipment package.
The NS200 also receives Electronic Throttle By Wire (ETB), which enables ride modes and allows the throttle response to be managed electronically. Traction control is another major addition, bringing an electronic rider aid to the package.
The NS200 now also gets a quickshifter, is designed to make gear changes more convenient without requiring the rider to operate the clutch for every shift.
Other additions include adjustable levers, Panic Brake Alert, a USB Type-C charging port and a dedicated hazard switch. Together, these updates expand the NS200's convenience and technology features.
Engine and Performance
The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 continues to use its 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. However, the maximum power output has increased from 24.2hp to 25.1hp and produces 18.7Nm of torque. The increase is modest, but it gives the NS200 a slight boost in its performance specifications.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Bajaj has retained the existing engine configuration, with the latest update bringing electronic and equipment improvements alongside the increased power output.
Wheels and Suspension
The Pulsar NS200 continues to use its perimeter frame, which remains a key part of its chassis configuration.
One of the notable hardware changes is the switch to 37mm upside-down (USD) front forks, replacing the earlier 33mm units. This is a change to the front suspension hardware, complementing the motorcycle's existing sporty chassis setup.
At the rear, the updated NS200 now gets a 130/70-R17 radial tyre. The radial construction is a notable addition to the motorcycle's hardware package.
These changes accompany the electronic upgrades, giving the latest NS200 a combination of revised suspension components, a new rear tyre and additional rider aids.
Pricing
The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is priced at ₹1.60 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With the latest update, the NS200 combines its familiar 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine and perimeter frame with a higher power output, a 5-inch TFT display, Google Maps mirroring, ride modes, traction control and a quickshifter.
Rather than being a complete redesign, this update focuses on making the existing streetfighter more technologically equipped while retaining its established mechanical foundation.
