Honda to unveil 5 new bikes at the Tokyo Motor Show

Honda has announced that it will showcase five motorcycles at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, also known as the 2025 Tokyo Motor Show. The event, one of the most prestigious automotive expos in the world, serves as a platform for manufacturers to unveil cutting-edge designs, futuristic concepts, and upcoming production models.

The most anticipated of the bunch are the two CB bikes: neo-retro roadsters inspired by Honda’s legendary machines from the 1980s. These will be powered by a high-revving inline-four engine, a configuration that has long been synonymous with Honda’s performance heritage. The bikes in question are the production versions of the CB1000F Concept and the CB1000F SE Concept, both of which were revealed a couple of months ago. If the production models remain faithful to the design and spirit of these concepts, they’re bound to be a smash hit among enthusiasts. The muscular stance, retro-inspired detailing, and modern technology could make them appealing not just in Japan, but globally. We can only hope and pray that these models make their way to Indian shores, where a strong fanbase for such motorcycles already exists.

Honda will also unveil the concept of an electric motorcycle which, the brand says, will “defy conventional ideas to deliver surprises.” While no images or technical details have been released, Honda's statement suggests a bold new direction—potentially featuring radical design elements or performance innovations aimed at redefining what an electric bike can be.

In addition to that, the company will display the EV Urban Concept scooter, which was originally unveiled in November 2024. This scooter is expected to target city commuters, focusing on ease of use, practicality, and zero-emissions mobility. It will be joined by the EV Fun Concept, which takes a more playful approach, possibly targeting younger riders or urban lifestyle consumers.

Lastly, Honda will debut the production version of its e-MTB electric mountain bike. With the growing popularity of e-bikes worldwide, Honda’s entry into this segment could bring a new level of engineering and performance to the table, blending off-road capability with electric efficiency.

With such a diverse lineup, Honda is clearly positioning itself for a future that embraces both heritage and innovation.
