Chevrolet Camaro | Collector's Edition

The classic sixth-generation Camaro made a name for itself as the leaner, meaner version from the minute it was unveiled in 2016, culminating with the ZL1 1LE track athlete.

Camaro had a broad selection of special editions throughout the generation, from the flamboyant 50th Anniversary and Wild Cherry Design Package to the edgy Shock and Steel and Redline Edition.

Chevrolet is honouring the Gen Six Camaro's history of agility and style as it departs at the end of the 2024 model year by introducing a last special Collector's Edition on the LT/RS, LT1, SS, and ZL1 trims in North America.

Resurfacing connections from the first-generation Camaro's development is the 2024 Camaro Collector's Edition.

The Chevrolet Performance Design Studio's attempts to make the sixth generation of the automobile a part of automotive history were inspired by Panther, the initial code name for the project that, in the 1960s, evolved into the Camaro.

According to Rich Scheer, design director at Chevrolet Performance, "We found it appropriate for this Collector's Edition Camaro to officially recognise the significance of the original code name and share it with Camaro enthusiasts." Naturally, the colour choices—Panther Black Metallic for SS and Panther Matte Black for ZL1—were motivated by the term "Panther."

A new Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, Satin Black accent stripes, 20-inch Satin Black or optional Polished Forged Wheels, the front splitter from the 1LE package, and the rear spoiler from the ZL1 package are all included in the Collector's Edition for the LT/RS, LT1 and SS trims.

The Panther Black Matte exterior colour will be the first matte paint produced on a Camaro from the factory and will be found on the 350-unit limited edition 650 horsepower LT4-powered ZL1 Collector's Edition. The ZL1 will also get the rear wing and front splitter from the ZL1 1LE on coupe models. The exterior is finished off with the ZL1 stripe in black metallic, red brake callipers, and black lug nuts. All 350 Collector's Edition ZL1 vehicles are equipped with a serialised steering wheel insignia that shows the order of the 350 vehicles' construction.

All Camaro Collector's Edition models include distinctive front fender script badging with a panther integrated into the "R," as well as a panther-themed steering wheel badge. Additionally, these Camaro models come with exclusive black interior treatments and custom floor mats with a laser-etched aluminium Collector's Edition emblem.

Two posters honouring the many Camaro generations and the Collector's Edition are included in the welcome kit given to customers who purchase a Camaro Collector's Edition.

Owners of the Camaro ZL1 Collector's Edition will also receive a custom Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch honouring the edition, which will have a serial number engraved on it that matches the one on the steering wheel emblem. This wearable remembrance has Camaro and panther themes, from the panther engraved watch band to the Camaro emblem contained on the watch face, and was carefully designed to convey the same ebonised presence as the 2024 Camaro Collector's Edition.

"Shinola is proud to share a legacy for quality, craftsmanship, and performance with the Camaro nameplate, and we cherish the Detroit heritage that both Shinola and Chevrolet have," stated Awenate Cobbina, CEO of Shinola.
