Mahindra created a wave in the automotive industry today with the official booking launch of their new sub-four metre SUV, the XUV 3XO. The XUV 3XO garnered a staggering 50,000 bookings within a mere hour of bookings opening.
This Mahindra offering boasts a wide range of variants, with three engine options and three transmission options to choose from. This allows for a total of 25 unique combinations, giving consumers a high degree of customization.
The XUV 3XO is a strategic reimagining of the popular XUV 300, featuring a significant facelift. Mahindra appears intent on disrupting the market with this new model. They've equipped the XUV 3XO with segment-first features like an electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof – the largest in its class – acknowledging the sunroof's popularity among Indian car buyers. Prices start at ₹7.49 lakh ex-showroom for the MX1 Petrol and reach ₹15.49 lakh for the top-of-the-line AX7 Luxury Turbo Petrol Automatic variant.
While it might be too early to definitively declare the XUV 3XO a success story, the initial response has been nothing short of phenomenal. However, the real test lies in sustained sales figures. The high booking numbers could simply reflect initial excitement, and only time will tell if this trend translates into long-term success.
