CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) | Mega Start ! | Round 1

The year 2024 began with a flying start for Indian motorsports as the first round of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League kicked off. What signalled Indian motorsports' bold move forward- was the atmospheric presence of the crowd cheering up in excitement for the sport. Witnessing the awe-inspiring display of athletes soaring through the air on their bikes was an experience that left one breathless with excitement. Around 10000 enthusiasts graced the presence for a weekend dose of entertainment. 

There are a total of four categories- 450cc international, 250cc international, 250cc India-Asia Mix, and the 85cc junior class. CS Santosh's team, BigRock Motorsports, has taken the overall lead in the league standings with a total of 213 points after making it to the podium in all the races. France's racer, Jordi Tixier (BB Racing), had a dominant win in the 450cc international and All-star races. The second and third positions were bagged by BigRock Motorsports.

In the 250cc category, Australian racer Reid Taylor (BigRock Motorsports),  riding Kawasaki, takes the 1st spot. Thanarat Penjan (BigRock Motorsport) finishes the podium in the 250cc India-Asia mix category. The 85cc category was only a demo for exposure for young racers.

CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) is a franchise-based functioning with six teams. KTM, Kawasaki and Honda are prominent manufacturers whose bikes are being used for the competition.BigRock is currently leading the championship with 213 points, followed by BB Motorsports at 153 points. Mohite's Racing Team is at 145 points, SG Speed Racers at 132 points, Gujarat Trailblazers at 114 points, and Reise Motorsports at 101 points. Round two of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) will occur on February 11 at Ahmedabad, and round three will be on February 25 at Delhi.
