Citroen Cuts Prices, Launches New Edition to Celebrate 3rd Anniversary in India

Citroen India is celebrating three years of operations in the country with a host of exciting offers for customers.  This includes significant price cuts on their C3 and C3 Aircross models, a new special edition, referral rewards, and freebies for existing customers.

Sharp Price Cuts on C3 and C3 Aircross

The biggest highlight is the drop in starting prices for both the C3 hatchback and C3 Aircross SUV. The C3 now starts at an attractive Rs 5.99 lakh, while the C3 Aircross gets even more affordable with a starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). It's important to note that Citroen hasn't revealed the full price list or confirmed if these discounts apply to the 2023 or 2024 model years. However, this is a significant price reduction considering the previous price range for the C3 was Rs 6.16 lakh-9.08 lakh and Rs 10 lakh-14.27 lakh for the C3 Aircross.

Introducing the New Citroen Blu Edition

Citroen is also capitalizing on the celebrations with the launch of a special Blu edition for both the eC3 and C3 hatchback. This edition boasts a striking Cosmo Blue paint job, available in both monotone and dual-tone options with unique graphics.  Inside, the Blu Edition gets some extra goodies to enhance the ownership experience, including an air purifier, illuminated cupholders, stylish sill plates, and special edition upholstery. While Citroen hasn't revealed the specific trim levels or the price premium for the Blu Edition, it certainly adds a touch of exclusivity for interested buyers.

More Reasons to Celebrate

The celebratory offers extend beyond price cuts and a new edition. Citroen has also introduced a customer referral program. Existing Citroen owners can earn a voucher worth Rs 10,000 for every successful referral, along with a free car cleaning service for themselves.

Citroen's Future in India

Looking ahead, Citroen seems committed to the Indian market.  They recently unveiled the design of their upcoming Basalt high-riding coupe-SUV and announced that the C3 hatchback will receive a much-awaited automatic transmission option by June 2024. Additionally, to address recent safety concerns, Citroen will be equipping all its models with six airbags as standard from the second half of 2024. This move comes after the eC3's disappointing 0-star Global NCAP safety rating.
