Overview

“WITH 100KG OF ACOUSTIC DAMPING MATERIALS INCORPORATED IN THE ENTIRE BODY FRAME, INCLUDING WHEELS, IT KEEPS THE NVH LEVELS IN SUPREME CHECK.”

In the shadow of dreams lies the fire of imagination, imagination that has previewed attractions, attractions that have given birth to curiosity, and curiosity that has led its way for creation. That curiosity has led to one of the finest creations, which is hailed as Rolls-Royce Ghost - a statement, an address, a single introduction which puts you with the 0.01% of the world. Dubai Skyscrapers look pale in front of the demeanor of the Ghost, it owns the road, and there is no other rear seat which shouts aristocracy, success, or luxury such as that of any Rolls, and Ghost just extends that experience even more with its extended wheelbase version. Riding in the Ghost’s rear compartment is a sybaritic experience with a whisper-quiet interior crafted out of the finest materials. The Spirit of Ecstasy that sits at the prow of that vast bonnet, an elegant emissary from a distant postcode, and the umbrella that nestles within the B-pillars are the true signature in every Rolls-Royce and according to CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos, “everything else was designed, crafted and engineered from the ground up” in the 2023 Rolls-Royce Ghost.

I had this upper-crust luxury set of wheels with me in Dubai for a couple of days, and getting bored at the rear compartment and the petrolhead in me urged me to do something more exciting and pushed me to take the Rolls Royce Ghost to the Dubai Autodrome racetrack. No, it’s not meant for that, and it’s unusual to go to a racetrack suited up and pull over in a Rolls Royce Ghost and that too with an extended wheelbase. But wouldn’t a billionaire think and do things differently? That’s why they are ahead of the ‘Race’, and with so much power on your tap, it’s a 6.75-litre, twin-turbo, V12 producing 563hp and 850Nm of torque - ladies & gents, you can dash to the Mount Everest leave aside racetrack without a sweat. Moreover, if one can own a Ghost, he can book any race track and enjoy every turn in the safest manner without any other vehicle coming from either side!

Verdict

Whether you’re after business-class executive lifestyle or enthusiastic driving pleasure, it has got everything covered. Just like your dreams have no boundaries, why should your expensive-prized possession have one? This masterpiece on wheels is one such crazy celebration of ultimate creations. And this is the kind of Ghost you would like to see in your dreams every night and every day.
